KUANTAN: A funeral parlour worker was found dead with ten stab wounds at a funeral parlour in Jalan Mat Kilau near here, Wednesday night.

Kuantan police chief ACP Mohd Jasmani Yusoff said Myanmar national Mg Pin Hling, 41, died from stab wounds in his back, neck and right thigh.

The body was found by a colleague of the victim who arrived at the premise at about 7am on Thursday.

"The colleague went to the victim's bedroom to wake him up but was shocked to find blood stains on the floor near the bedroom.

“After opening the door, he saw the victim slumped and covered in blood," he told reporters.

Mohd Jasmani believed the murder occurred at midnight when the victim was sleeping and that he was stabbed with sharp objects such as knives and scissors.

The police are hunting down three Myanmar suspects aged 19, 26 and 28 years who are also colleagues of the victim at the funeral parlour.

"We believe this is a grudge case because the victim was killed when sleeping and that there is no sign of struggle," he added. - Bernama
